Neighbor of the Week is a program that was started to celebrate the goodness in our community.
If you were nominated as a Neighbor of the Week:
Congratulations! One of your neighbors noticed something positive that you did in the community and decided that you deserve to be recognized. You are working to make our neighborhood a better place and we all appreciate that. Thank you!
If you would like to nominate a neighbor to be Neighbor of the Week:
Please contact the Nuestra Casa center coordinator. All you need is an address of the neighbor that you are nominating and the reason for your nomination. Your name and your neighbor’s name (if you know it) would also be helpful, but are not required.
Telephone: (616) 432-9187
What deserves a nomination for Neighbor of the Week?
Anything good that you would like to celebrate in our community is worthy of a nomination for Neighbor of the Week. Some examples are: picking up trash, being friendly, fixing up a house, helping a member of the community, being involved in the community, or coordinating a community event. A Neighbor of the Week could be somebody who did something that required a great deal of time and dedication or could be the perfect neighbor, but they don’t have to be. A Neighbor of the Week could also be somebody who did something small, just one simple thing that made our neighborhood better in a way that nobody else may have noticed. Let’s celebrate the goodness in our community!
Who can be nominated for Neighbor of the Week?
